Permanent Station # 2 Building

Planning for the Cedar Hill Rd/Davis Creek Area station is underway.  The department has reviewed about a dozen substation designs and has decided on a 2100-3000 sq ft two bay design.  The Cedar Hill Rd /Davis Creek station will house Engine 1973 and boat 1990.  The leased Mt Misery Rd station will become station # 3 and house engine 1974 as a reserve unit. The new station will be dedicated in honor of two past department Chiefs. Once a land deal is finalized, construction should start at some point in 2012.  Boat 1990 should have a quicker water response time at the new facility, since the station will be closer to the public water access.
